Ben MacMichael with a certificate of completion in the "Community Food
Mentors Initiative" sponsored by the New Brunswick Provincinal
Government, United Way & Mapleton Teaching Kitchen.
Ben is now certified as a 'Food Mentor' which will enable him to lead
teaching kitchen seminars for the food bank's applicants.
We are excited to announce that our food bank now has a working relationship with Headstart in Moncton. The 'Mapleton Teaching Kitchen" is run by Headstart and has opened it facility for use to our food bank applicants when they sign up with the West End Food Bank's teaching kitchen program. Ben MacMichael, West End Food Bank manager, has recently been certified as a 'Food Mentor' and is now able to lead such groups.

Many thanks to Headstart for allowing this service to be offered out of their kitchen as we worth towards our own location and kitchen in the future to accommodate these much needed programs in the West End of Moncton.
